Cup holder fix help

The cup holder in my 03 broke the other day. I noticed the silver metal spring behind the cup holder. I pulled it out so it would fall down in the dash.
Anyone know how to fix it? There's not a lot of room in there.
Obviously the cup hold can still hold drinks....it is the push mechanism that pops it out and keeps it in that's broke.

Mine does NOT look like that. And it's not underneath the radio, it's more offset. My "spring" is a metal type bar that is folded back in on itself. I'll see if I can get some pics so ya'll can better see what I mean.

Hardest part was finding teh clips to release the dang thing. Once that was done it is simple. I actually used two 10/32 screws and nuts to fix mine, I didn't have any pop rivets large enough.
