No I'm not racing him I was wondering if in a hook up I'd be able to pull him. Racing isn't really my thing. So I'm sorry I put it wrong I'm seeing who'd pull who? And is 3.33 gears good for pulling?

I'm sorry I must not have said I was racing him. I'm wondering if we hookers up who would pull who. I personally think I'm way to heavy to race. And is 3.33 gears good for pulling?

I mean they're okay but lower would be better. Back when my truck was stock I could have gave you a run for your money hooked up with my 4.6 just for the sole reason of my 3.55ls gears.

In that case all that matters is who looses traction first...DO NOT let your tires spin and you should be fine

Once you see smoke coming off yours you might as well just drop it in neutral as fast as you can and give up, it'll save your transmission some pain. And if he has like 3.73's or something lower than that gear wise your pretty much out of luck too.

I was told by my buddy I had 3.33 gears. But I'm not sure where to even find that information or how to get it? And in gears the higher the number the lower the gears?

Yes, the higher number is the lower ratio. You should have a tag on the driver's door jamb that has several codes, one of which is axle. Get that 2 diget number or one letter and one number code and it can be determined what you have.

Are you only looking to add torque just for the reason of dragging your friend? If so it's not really worth it money wise.

No not at all. I do a lot of hauling for the farm and I do towing and wood work and car and truck removal and towing. So it'll be for other uses to.

I mean you could always supercharge it, but anything to see true gains isn't gonna be cheap.
