brush guards, lets see em

ive been saving some money little by little and its time for a brush guard. But ive seen many f150's run around that have bulky lokking brush guards that seem to not fit right, any ideas of a slim looking brush guard? ive been looking around i just would like to see some pics of someones, thanks

how sturdy is that guard? is it functiuonal or just for looks? I'm looking for one that will actually protect the front of my truck.

Mines a Luverne, not sure what the part number is or anything but its been on there since the truck was new and has no rust

also my grandpa had a Go-rhino brush guard on his 2004 f150 and it was a nice one

Ranch Hand, but it doesn't count because its a full bumper replacement.

If you want sturdy go Ranch Hand. I hit a cow going 60 with mine and the guard held up extremely well.

Thanks! There is no lift on my truck its a stock FX4. The torsion bars are turned up to make the front sit level. The tires are 285/70-17 BFG's.

I think the bumper makes the truck appear lifted. It doesn't hang as low as the stock bumper, so it makes the truck look taller.

a safety council advised that these model trucks where the most dangerous on a off center frontal crash. looks like you were very lucky to have the brush guard on place. hope you got your truck fixed ok. i'll look into the ranch hand brand. thanks randy

A hit like that is the one bad thing about the oil filter location on these trucks.
