Short tubes

Short tubes

i was wondering if anyone has short tube headers on their truck and how much Hp and Tq Will they make if any and will the help my exhaust sound better

also another question i would rather get long tubes but pasesetter does not sell them for a 4.6L 2wd

i want longtubes but i cant find any for a 1998 f150 4.6 2wd

have you checked obx? thats the way to go on this site unless you have the money for dynatechs

i looked and couldnt find any... alot of shops such as hooker will do custom jobs call someone. if nooone makes them for the 4.6 then youd be one of a kind which would be sweet

short tubes wont do anything for you HP/TQ wise

well will they make the exhaust sound better with stock 4 cats and true duals exiting at the back

I think replacing your stock cats for some high flows will give you the better sound improvement you are looking for over the shorties.

Pretty sure that either pacesetter or OBX makes long tubes for these trucks. Even at that, I am pretty sure the 5.4's will work but you need adapters for the EGR tube. Should be no big deal by the time you have the headers.

Pacesetter part number 70-2227. EGR is most annoying part. I think the EGR port on the pacesetters is 3/4 NPT or maybe 5/8. GL

BTW I had BBK shorties on my truck and yes it helped exhaust tone but did nothing for performance. Frankly the stock logs felt better down low...
