I have a fiberglass bed top that I drilled a hole to mount. Ran the cable under and into the cab .... under the carpet... to the CB

The antennae doesn't come close to hitting the roof

Some of you guys have messy wiring. Not a CB, mines a VHF transceiver for the fire dept, but here ya go:

hey i just ordered a cobra 29 LTD on AMAZON and a 4' whip what kinda range do you think i could get 4watt CB with 900watt Antenna

its a regulated 4watts and you only have a 4 antenna. it could be a bit higher, but i wouldnt guess much without an amp

I wonder if there is some sort of clamp on mount that doesn't require drilling into the bed? Or get a tool box, problem solved!

what would it be with an amp and where at and how much are they

What i do is i have the antenna wire running under the carpet and have the antenna base sitting under my rear seat and the antenna in the toolbox. When i need to use it i put the antenna on a thin piece of cloth and put it on the roof. That away i dont scratch the paint. I dont use my cb all the time just on extended road trips
