remove the wheel then dust cap cotter pin, nut then you can pull the rotor off with the bearings and everything. its not hard to do

And I would need to measure the rotor and the bearings?

your rotor should be the same diameter as the non 7700 trucks but measure that diameter and then measure the diameter and length of the spindle. i can compare it with my stock ones. ill post a pic in a second

right on Jake...I didnt even think about just measuring one of my stock ones...duh! dont forget the caliper has to come off to get the rotor off but I think its only two bolts if I remember correctly. You are basically doing the same thing as a brake job with replacing the rotors only you arent replacing the rotors unless you need to.

The 250ld / 7700 trucks dont have bigger brakes? I know they use different rotors but maybe its purely the 7 studs for the 7lug pattern...but I would think as part of beefing up the truck for heavier loads it would have bigger brakes...IDK tho

im pretty sure the 2wd 7700 truck didnt have too many changes up front other than the 7 lugs or like you say better brake setup. possibly stiffer stock springs. but that brings to mind the possiblity of a 5 lug swap front an rear to make wheels easier to get. front rotors off a 2wd truck and rear axles shafts would do it if im not mistaken

thanks guys. I'm gonna try to get to it this weekend but I've been busy so I may not have time. Also, when I hopefully do this lift, would I need new shocks to go along with spindles and blocks?

I was kinda thinking the same thing except I was thinking more about the bigger brakes - if they are actually bigger (almost like a factory big brake kit and could prob do it cheap) but you make another good point on the lug pattern thing except what else runs a 7 lug pattern? It would have been nice if ford woulda used the superduty 8 lug setup...we could get ANY wheels we want!

you wont NEED new shocks, i ran my stock ones with this setup for awhile but the coil spacer does max out the stock shock and you will blow them out and then the truck rides like crap...Id just get the shocks and put them in while you have the whole front end apart and be done with it. Keep in mind we are talking about standard f150's and yours could be slightly diff. Also depending on the miles and age you might need new upper ball joints (you have to replace the whole upper control arm) but again might as well do it while everything is apart.

id still do the measurements. i wouldnt be surprised if it measured the same with different part number.

but then again the spindle part might be bigger since your lug pattern is 7 on 170mm iirc
