Well I spent the week in Jacksonville with my sister (drove my dads DSM) so when I got back home to the truck I finished off my project. Pics:

Yeah its pretty easy to do. Although the drill and hacksaw I used were at my parents house (I live in an apartment), its about $15 in hardware, really easy and fun to make.

if you look at the first picture, the bottoms extend equidistant as the tops, so about 3" longer than the fans, total is probably ~19-20"

If you need an exact length, just put a tape measure against your radiator since they sit flush with the top lip

Thanks..I think I'm getting a little OCD about this..I keep seeing wiring diagrams in my sleep on how to connect the LEDs/switches/fans LOL.

BUMP

My old radiator finally died, so I upgraded to a dual-row radiator. Pics are from swapping over.

MMmmmm look at how big it is. You can never have too much cooling power!

Old radiator.

Always gotta compare

Fans mounted onto the new radiator. This process was 100x faster and easier than my first install since the radiator was OUT of the engine bay.

I believe mine are 16.5"

Looks nice Alex ive had a dual core for a while now, definitely worth the upgrade, and the water temp gauge actually reads a hair cooler with the bigger radiator.

Hopefully you are using Ford Motorcraft Gold Coolant in there

Nah I've got the $9 special from O'Reillys. I took a test drive and with my 180* thermo, my trucks water temp is 175* and at red lights peaks 185*. Fans don't even come on (set to engage at 190*, off at 185*).

Problem is now my A/C isnt working I thought it was lack of CFMs since my radiator is bigger, but draw is same as before using my paper method and even doing 75 mph down the interstate it keeps clicking on and off every 2 seconds.

both fans need to be on for proper AC performance at lower speeds and idle, thats why i have manual switches for my fans

both fans are on. symptoms are pointing to low refrigerant, so im going to swing by an A/C shop and let them hook it up since its still under warranty
