Ive done heavy towing with my Efans and havent even come close to overheating w/o a shroud, and they do fine in the 105+ summer days with AC on max too.

Thanks Pat..it doesn't get that hot here so I should be good. For some reason I had the thought that the brackets were steel duh!!.

I was thinking of mounting my fan controller either on the firewall or inside the cab to give it better water/temp protection.

Gotta love aluminum: lightweight, strong, easy to manipulate and fun to work with!

The controller is water sealed already. Unless you are worried about the plastic casing and wire insulation getting wet, your wasting your time.

No. basically they are all the same. I bought from two different sellers and they are the same exact fan. just make sure you buy from someone with a warranty.

dunno the amps at startup, but I have both on a 30A relay and everything is fine

My controller was from autozone for a whopping 17.99 and its just a basic temp controller, but it has been very reliable

motoman those are perfect, but see if you can find one with a lifetime warranty- one day one of my fans ground bolts came out so i thought it was the fan and the shipper sent me another no questions. while i was mounting it I found I had a ground wire just hanging.....so i have a new fan in my closet

I found some further down the list on ebay with a lifetime warranty so I'll be ordering those next paycheck! I thnk I'm going to give the $17 autozone controller a shot before I go with the more expensive ones

Perfect. Lifetime warranties rock when stuff goes wrong.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Patrick is running his with a secondary switch. Mine handles two fans perfectly and you can adjust the on/off temp. His I believe is manual?

Ordered mine on Friday, lifetime warranty...220W motor, 12A startup, 6-7A running. I plan on going with Pat's setup manual switches.
