Alright i got a 99 F-150 xl supercab 4.6 4x4, bare bones, what can i get off other trucks at the junk yard to make mine better ? and what parts will just bolt on ?

 

All of the XLT options like power windows, mirrors, locks.. that sorta thing. Maybe you can get lucky and find one with a valance that you like better than yours or something..maybe even a set of decent head lights.. who knows? You just gotta compare and contrast really.

 

got any pics of your truck?

things like switch panels helpout alot with factory looking window and lock mods. (done them) and most parts will bolt on but what are some things your looking for really

 

usually most parts from any 97-03 F150 and also some parts from expeditions should work.

 

You can also search yards online @ car-part.com. Type in your zip and the site searches from your area outward.

 

You can do a lot to an XL to make it nicer for not a lot of money. Check out my Low-Buck Mods album for a few ideas ...

 

Well.... if u find a L take the tranny and motor and wire harness.....lol...

Depends on what u want.... if there is a truck with a lift ... see what they want for the lift....imo... it depends on what u want

 

get a cluster with a tach

 

I want one, but I just got to see a pic of an XL with a tach cluster and/or talk to someone who's actually done it before I spend the money on the cluster (I hear rumors it can be done, but I've never heard anyone say they've done it ...).
