I haven't done any pricing of lifts and all in a while so I can't comment on that. However, I will comment\recommend you do the gears sooner than later if you're going to run 37" tires. I'm guessing you have at best 3.55LS stock. Your truck\transmission with 230,000 miles will thank you for re-gearing. I will also recommend looking into a programmer of some sort to custom tune your truck. Most of the time on this site when I see someone post about wanting lifts with huge tires, they always post back a month or so later asking about how to re-gain power. Good luck with it all and be sure to post pics when she's all done.

35's and 3.55LS won't be too bad temporarily if you don't tow or haul much. What engine do you have?

You will be ok. I've been running that setup for two years just fine.

str8t six i seen your albams. that is what made me deside to go with 8 inch lift and now 35. could you post some more pics of your set up. also is your tires 35-12.50 or 13.50. also what is the back spacing on your wheels. i just bought so micky tompson wheels that have a 4.5 bs. i am also thinking about going with a 2" wheel spacer. would the 4.88 gears be to low for it with 35's. thanks

Ok, so I'll warn you now, I don't have any first hand experience with wheel spacers but from what I have read, they are a BAD idea. And 2" spacers sound even worse. If you do some searching I'm sure there will be some entries from people with first hand experience. I don't mean to flame you or throw out somebad info, just trying to make sure you get a good deal and save money in the long run. Good luck and looking forward to so e pics.

I've just heard some stories. Here's a thread about them. Now that I am reading about them they don't sound that bad but there are still some bad reviews about them. I probably still wouldn't go with them by it's ur call.

if i HAD to get wheel spacers for whatever reason id only go like half an inch if that lol. just choose a wheel the right width, offset, and backspacing to get your tires out where you want them
