wow. its just a discussion forum. not like i entered my 08 in a 97-03 class at a car show and am expecting to win. plus, either way, i had an 04 heritage before this one which is the same as the 97-03 style. also had a 78 f150 and a 97 ranger. just because you might have an 02 or whatever, doesnt mean you have to only post there. its basically just a place to post. if you have a tranny problem with your 02, you post it in th 97-03 area so anyone can find it and try to help you out.

well the only thing about the 97-03 style i like better than the 04-08 is that the reg cab trucks look more sporty especially the shortbed. also the 04-08 longbeds looks like crap. the bed is just too weird looking. 04-08 pretty much cant look sporty because they never made a lightning so there is less sportiness factor. and my truck's 4 doors are kinda odd. 09 they went back to 2 doors but i think they shortened the cab by a few inches. i test drove one and the legroom was the same but it seemed to be lacking a little room behind the seat compared to mine. and i think the salesman said the doors were 4 or 6 inches longer than the 08. but after the door is the part of the cab that fades into the rear window. well my rear door is about a foot long, so if they took the extra 2 doors away, -12 inches, and made the doors 6 inches longer, it would be shorter than mine.

well if you want to go by the way you are thinking about me having an 08 and posting on the 97-03 page...you dont even have a vehicle listed under your name. everyone else has it listed on the right side of every post. but not you....so then going by your rule..why are you posting on a f150 forum if you havent shown you have an f150 yet???? ha, thats what id like to know...

exactly, i think its funny when your on some other threads and you say you got a chevy or a dodge you dont belong here. i drove a chevy silverado for a long time while i was on another f150 forum. and i tell everybody i like chevy gmc dodge and ford. there all the same they get you to point A to point B. and every vehicle has its own aftermarket looks.

yeah i noticed that. the thing i hate about the 04-08 the most is the short B-pillar. they fixed that in the 09

THANKS YOU!!!. all i did was say what i wanted to do and everybody is saying, thats dumb, it will fly off. but have they ever tried it? nope...my last f150, which was the heritage, i had those BULLY stainless steel flames on my truck. even had one around the emblem on the grill. only thing is, the BULLY flame was designed to go around the emblem on the tailgate. the grill emblem is wider so the BULLY flame has to stick onto the sides of the emblem. only about .75 square inches of the 3M tape was holding it on and i went up to 108mph and to 100 abunch of times, it never unstuck one bit. i was worried about the scoop flying off but in reality it is trial and error. you put it on with what you think will work and try it. if it flies off, then put it back on(if it didnt break) and use something else to stick it on. eventually you could just rivit it on or whatever to get it to work. but looks like i wouldnt have to if i still deside to do it. thank you for posting this..
