if your gonig toput a scoop like that on, SEM has a bonding compound called Compound 8115- stuff is killer. if your gonna stick it on use that stuff, you could bond a gold brick to a 2X4 the stuff bonds everything. thats what you need though. its a 2 part compound so youll need a caulking gun. orrrrrr you could drill some holes and countersink them and the rivit that bad doy down. but anyway i would not use a stick on, its a F150 dude not a civic. look at goodmark they got some good hoods, or jc whittney mabey

Thanks, that is actually a compliment. The seventies look is what I was going for with this truck.
The head lights are a problem. The truck was built in April of 96, and the used a different header panel in them then. So the after market head lights don't fit. I have a set for it, but am going to have to modify the way the mount to make them fit. I've had them for about 2 years and still haven't got around to doing it.

Haha, the truck looks great IMO, I'm just sayin, the camera looks like a damn polariod from the 70's... All we need is you in your younger years standing next to it with some bell bottoms and a 'fro

And if you can cut some frame up and make that bumper sit flush so well I'm sure you can work around a little measly blockage such as a header panel

That was taken with my picture cel phone. I was washing the truck, and the sun was reflecting off the pearl paint job. I didn't have time to get the wife's camera.

With the headlights, I've had a few physical setbacks, and other things keeping me busy. I'll get to it someday. I'll never sell the truck, so I have plenty of time.

well i saw a guy at an auto show that put the twin scoops on and he said there is no bottoms, just an edge around it so i wouldnt have to cut anything. and i wouldnt be only putting one hole in my hood, i would be making a bunch of small ones so its like a mesh-like look. and the only thing i would have to do to the scoops is drill out holes on the front for the air to go into. they already have fake indented holes as a guide, i would just drill them out and put a screen on it. plus if after a few years or so it comes off and strips the clearcoat or whatever, it would be more incentive to save up for an actual ram air hood. plus either way if i keep my hood normal and get a ram air one, im gonna have a little trouble getting rid of the stock one, already having that problem with my stock headlights. i looked on ebay and other ones arent even selling for $15 per side.

I have hood scoops on my truck...look at my photo gallery for pics. Those are the 3M - tape stick on ones. It isn't any different that the stick on mud guards, stick on fake crome for your door handles/mirrors, or the stick on fake wood grain for your interior...it is all for show. I like my hood scoops and don't have a need for a ram air hood (unless I put a supercharger). It is your truck bro...customize it according to your budget and taste.

PS Awesome headlights...

New Ford Truck: $20K off the lot

Stick on hood scoop: $45

Camera to take photos: $20

Computer and Internet to post said photos on: $450

Being told you are a DBag because you went cheap by getting the stick on crap instead of a real, functional hood, on F150 Online: PRICELESS!

x2 triton,

there is no way anything held on by sticky tape is going on my truck.

speaking of which, i saw the most riced out F-150 ever in my life behind me today. it was so hideous the only thing i can relate it to is masterbating with 400-grit sandpaper

im serious, i was pulling off into bestbuy and this was a 4.6L white 2002 extended cab with projector 1-pieces, crappy vinyl, wal-mart hood scoops, VatoZone fender stick-ons, a HIDEOUS wing on the tailgate, ANOTHER wing on the roof, stupid azz reflective tint, and best of all...16" plastic wal-mart spinners as he passed me he floors it thinking he is so cool. if it wasnt for traffic i woulda caught up to him and take pics to show you guys.

i just hope i see it again because this is the stupidest looking F-150...EVER!
