Roush 5.11 Tactical Ford F-150

Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to love about Roush’s newest F-150, including its 5.0-liter, 650-horsepower, supercharged V8.

The F-150 is the perfect canvas for whatever you want out of it. You can have a no-thrills work truck, a luxurious family cruiser, or a hardcore off-road machine. And that’s before the aftermarket enters the picture, with plenty of go-fast, look-good, rock-tough parts available for ultimate customization.

Of course, if you don’t want to do all the work, there are tuners out there who can give the rig of your dreams. One of them, Roush Performance, recently unveiled their latest and greatest in Las Vegas. And if you happen to be an outdoor enthusiast, then this F-150 is up your alley!

“Teaming up with 5.11 Tactical was the perfect way to expand our offerings for our outdoor-focused truck customers,” said Jack Roush Jr. “This truck has just the right look for the tactical market and the performance you expect from a Roush-charged truck.”

For those who don’t know already, 5.11 Tactical provides gun enthusiasts with the tools and clothing need to get the most out of their lifestyle. The company first teamed up with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 1992, supplying their namesake pant to the department’s training academy. In 2003, they expanded their line to cover the needs of law enforcement, and in later years, turned their focus on the outdoor and fitness markets.

The Roush 5.11 Tactical Ford F-150 brings the best of both companies into one package. The centerpiece of the truck, of course, is its 5.0-liter V8. With the 2.65-liter supercharger planted on top, the mill delivers 650 horses and 610 lb-ft of torque to the black, 20-inch Roush wheels below. Each wheel is wrapped in 35-inch all-terrains to conquer any terrain.

The F-150 rides on a custom Roush/FOX suspension setup, and lets its fury be known (or not) through an active cat-back exhaust system. A special Roush/5.11 Tactical graphics package adorns the body, which can be had in either Agate Black, or Abyss Gray.

There are also tons of custom touches specific to 5.11 Tactical for the F-150, including a unique gear kit with a hard case, multi-tool, tactical pen, and an American flag patch.

The Roush 5.11 Tactical Edition F-150 will set you back $31,000, as well as the base price for a 2020 F-150 Lariat with the 5.0-liter V8. It’ll also be limited to just 150 units. The rig is available to order now, with deliveries to commence this spring.

“5.11 is excited to collaborate with the Roush team on the F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition truck,” said 5.11 Tactical Chief Marketing Officer, Debra Radcliff. “The truck exudes preparedness which is at the core of 5.11’s ‘Always Be Ready’ mantra. We strive to keep our end-users ready for life’s most demanding missions, and the Roush F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition truck absolutely accomplishes this while they’re out on the road.”
