‘Good Samaritan’ Offers to Help Fix Flat, Steals F-150 Instead

F-150

Only the lowest of lowlifes would kick an F-150 owner when he’s down.

If you’ve ever been stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire, you’ve probably also been offered help from some kind stranger. At least, that’s the way things used to work. Nowadays, there are certainly still some kind hearted people in the world. But there are also enterprising lowlifes just looking to take advantage of folks who fall on hard luck. Like one poor, unsuspecting Canadian F-150 driver fell victim to recently.

Now, Canadians have a bit of a reputation for being incredibly friendly. So you can’t blame the guy for believing that a stranger north of the border might just be trying to help. And when our F-150 driver caught a flat tire on the side of the road, it wasn’t long before a 22-year old woman offered her assistance. But instead of grabbing a jack, she hopped behind the wheel and took off.

Now, attempting a fast getaway in a truck with a flat tire isn’t exactly smart. So it obviously didn’t take long for police to catch up with our deceitful crook. In fact, she was caught on the same road where she found the truck ripe for the taking.

Orangeville reports that our “good Samaritan” is facing a slew of charges as a result of her failed F-150 fueled getaway. They include theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime, and driving while disqualified. Not bad for a day’s “work,” we’d say.

Those of us who haven’t resorted to a life of crime tend to see the good in people before the bad. But let this story serve as a warning. The next time some random stranger offers to help (even if they are Canadian), their intentions might actually more sinister.
