Weird Engine Problems Rough Idle Shaking Ect.

Last night I tried installing a MAC throttle body on my 2003 5.4 without any luck. I think I broke the TPS.

It is more important to me to have the 5.4 working so I swapped the throttle body with a 4.6. The TPS reads .98 at idle and 4.65 at WOT.

The truck runs very rough and seems like it is missing. Idle is about 500, and it doesn't want to rev at all without shaking. When I put it into gear it starts shaking pretty bad.

HELP

Just started the truck again...idle isn't rough anymore, about 750rpm. BUT as soon as you start giving it some gas the thing sounds like it is missing/major hesitation... maybe the correct term for this is "spuddering"? Also, it revs a lot slower than usual.

As soon as it's in gear the truck's rough idle comes back...which is around 500rpm

I dont know about the codes but it sounds like you might have a vacuum leak somewhere.

I doubt it...the truck was totally fine last night...also, I get all the codes back within in the 1 minute of turning on the truck.

It sounds like you left a vacuum line off or a connector off. If it ran good before you tried to install the throttle body, then I would look at everything you had loose or off.

Not exactly sure that you can swap out parts like that and expect things to run good as new. The first part was probably the ECM relearning the new set up. As for hesitation, Are the two throttle bodys entirely the same. Do you have a leak in the intake system between the MAF and the throtle body? Sound like lots of ways this project could have gone wrong.
