Engine Swap Nightmare (4.6 2 Valve)

Hey everyone, I have an 03 f150 that I did a Windsor to romeo Police Interceptor swap. Besides that being a nightmare in it's self, I now can not get the truck to spark(fire) out of the coils.

Here's what I know

1) the Coil's have power.
2) The knock sensor is plugged in ( read that this would cause no start).
3) That both the crank and cam sensor are working (both reading ohms).

I did have a Hypertech tuner installed on the truck before the engine swap, and wondered if the PCM might have been fried during the engine swap. Please, someone give me some pointers..

Ditch the Hypertech, tow it to a dealer for a reflash. Check for blown fuses.

Did you remove and reinstall the front cover of the replacement engine? If so and you removed the HDR wheel ( crank sensor wheel)for any reason and reinstalled it you may have put it back on backwards or the crank sensor wire is broken or not completely connected at the sensor or you forgot to reinstall the HDR wheel.... Not sure why this was a nightmare swap as it is pretty basic. Either engine will interchange without many changes. Yes the ECM could be fried.

I checked the timing wheel, it was in the right position; Have checked fuses , all of them seem to be alright so far. Kind of at a loss at it, just looking for options

Another note, I do have a bull dog security system on the truck, but it seems to be acting normal, as I do not think it would bother trying to start it with the key. Another thing, the only dtc im getting is p1000, not sure if this is related to it or not. The motor is not sensing any RPM's when turning the engine over either, like I have said, I have checked the sensor's, and the wheel.

Disconnect the engine harness from the main harness and inspect all pins in the connectors make sure that none are bent or have been dislodged and pushed inward so they are not making a connection. Sometimes when reconnecting them they can get bent or dislocated and you will not make a connection It sounds like you had the front cover off. Just know that if the HDR wheel teeth are not facing forward you will not get a signal to the computer. This happens a lot on a front cover removal and timing component repair.

Update: Took the truck to the dealership with a used ECM, lights flashing on the PATS yadada, got everything reflashed and it did the SAME THING. So, im assuming that throws the PCM out of the equation. My aftermarket RemoteStart has a wire running to the theft wire, could that have anything to do with it?

What I would do is disconnect both the alarm system and the Remote Start system to eliminate them from the no start issue. If that doesn't resolve the issue, keep them disconnected until you find the true cause.

You verified engine harness and PCM grounds? As well as the engine to frame ground?

Checked all the grounds I could find. (Three out of the harness near the pcm, and the main one coming of a bell housing bolt by the fuel line) all were good grounds. Checked all my connections on the top end, everything seems to be plugged in on the bottom as well... any ideas?

Oh by the way, the motor in it now has the windsor timing cover and windsor crankshaft position sensor , with the Romeo wheel. (The car one was different.

Were the covers the same around where the crank sensor goes?

Hmmm what about cam sensors/rings?

Swapped the covers to match the rings, so now the engine has the correct factory cover on it. Still no fire. Checked the knock sensor, swapped Crank Sensors, checked harness, still nothing, Is there any way to check the PCM to see if it is receiving signal from the CKP?
