Wireing question

Hey gang. New to this board. I have read a lot of post here. and have a question. I recently changed my timing chain assy. on my '01 4.6 F150 S. Crew. Found out the motor was an '00. I usually don't have issues with putting things back together but this time it took me a little longer to complete the job. I was only able to work on it about an hour a day. Long story short. I have it back together but I have a wire that I can't figgure out where it goes. It is on the drivers side bottom. 1 wire goes to the oil filter but dont know where the other one next to it goes. OOPS!!!!! Thanks in advance for your help.

I can not come up with a red plug.
Two of the plugs in that area are the "Camshaft Position Sensor (CKP) " and the "Crankshaft Position Sensor (CMP)". I show both with Black plugs.

Sorry. The plug itself is black. The inside is red. I have the cam sensor pluged. Crank sensor makes sense. The only problem is I can not for the life of me find where it plugs into. I had the whole front apart and even the LF tire off and I see no where to plug this into. Can you direct? Thanks

The wire colors on the CKP sensor are Dark Blue and the other wire is Gray.
Here is a diagram.

This would not fit to the cam sensor so I am assuming it goes to the crank. From the diagram it looks like it goes either behind or under the power stearing pump. Right?

Don't worry about it - it's an extra in the harness - 5fours have one there as well . It's an EVO steering connector(Electronic assist) - You don't have it. The only wire /bottom of the drivers side that you need to worry about is the oil sending unit connect - that's it.

Does it look like this -

LOL ,that's Bartaks 4.6L he use to have. Sold it, he's gottuh a 5four now.

That's a good filter tho - It's a WIX. - One of the very best, if not the best.

There designed very similar to the Purolator. - and Motorcraft is a Purolator hybrid anyway.
