Turn signal will not work, flashers will work, 1995 F150

1995 F150 302 4x4 Ext. Cab 86000 Miles

Turn signal will not work.

Flashers do work.

All other electrical components are fine, ignition, headlights, brakes, 4 way operates normally, timing is right.

No fuses are blown or loose, all bulbs checked and fine.

Checked as many cables as I could for shorts, all looks healthy.

The turn signal, when it worked right before it went bad, was blinking unusually fast, faster than when a bulb goes out, then, it just quit working all together.

Any suggestions?

Edit:
I did search the forum and on-line as extensively as I could, but I did not find anyone where the flashers still worked. Sorry if I missed a thread of my same scenario and same year.

Fuse or switch is the logical guess. The fact that the emergency flashers work is proof that the wiring and bulbs are ok.

You have two flasher relays in the fuse panel. One is for emergency flashers and the other is turn signals. Swap them and make sure the emergency flashers still work. If they stop working, it is just a bad flasher relay. Quick fix to get a new one. If the emergency flashers still work correctly after switching the relays, you have a different problem, but I bet this is it.

The 4ways use a different relay in a different location. Just pay the 2bucks for a new flasher and change the one in your fuse panel.

I just had the same issue. It was definitely the flasher relay. If its a 92 to 95 the relay is silver, round and about the size of a quarter. It is located in the fuse box under the dash. It's the only round object in the fuse box under the dash. Just pull it out as if it were a fuse. As of January 2015 O'reilly's sells it for $3.49

Being that the last post was made over 9 years ago, I would guess the issue has been fixed or the truck has been retired or sold. Not only that, the question was already properly answered.
