Well i finally decided to trade in my 07 5.4L FX4 for a new Ecoboost FX4 with the Max Tow pkg and 373 gears. So far i have absolutely no regrets! What a beautiful and powerful truck! Just cant wait to get her broken in so i can hook the camper and she how she pulls compared to my old truck!

Kevin-O, I ordered the same truck except Red Candy and 5.5 Bed. Did you get the FX Luxury Package????? How big is the camper you pull??? What does it weigh??? I am trading a 2008 FX4 3.73 gears, S-cab.

Yes I have the Fx luxury pkg. My camper now is Shamrock 21ss 6500lbs loaded but we are planning on getting a new quad bunk Cougar at 30' 8200lbs loaded. My plan was to buy a F350 deisel but after finding out that the Ecoboost can tow 11,300lbs with the max tow pkg I was down at the dealer taken one for a ride.The test ride got me hooked!! The best part is it fits in my garage!! The F350 would not.....

 

KEVIN_O, That has me worried now. According to online Ford side and the brochure. The mirror caps should be the color of the truck. Yours looks Black grained. How do you like your EB?? Did you opt for the Sony sound system????

 

My mirrors are all black. Did you get the max tow pkg? I have only seen them in black with that pkg. I absolutely love this truck!! I only have 280 miles on her so far but i just cant believe how smooth she drives and how much power at such a low rpm! After being so use to driving my 07 5.4L with a Magnaflow exhaust i feel like im driving a truck with an electric motor. I didn't order mine all though i did build the truck i wanted on the Ford website before i found this one and it was almost an exact match of what i built! The only difference was on the one i built it had the Sony sound system w/ 6-disc changer. The truck i bought only has the single disc. And the only other thing i wanted but didn't get on my new truck was the tailgate step. Other than that it has everything i wanted, leather interior, moonroof, backup sensors and camera, heated seats, 20" premium wheels, and most of all the Max Tow Pkg with 373 gears!!!

KEVIN O- if you read the brochure, the FX luxury pkg states it comes with body colored mirror caps. I am starting to think the max trailer town pkg overrides the body color mirror caps. I have 2009 trailer tow mirrors on my 2008 now. They are off of a 2009 Lariat and plugged right up to my 08, and they have the chrome caps, i just might have to swap the mirrors then. As far as i know, the trailer tow mirrors with the black top caps , the caps do not come off, they are part of the whole outside of the mirror. Glad to hear u like ur truck. I am looking forward to getting mine in the next 2 weeks. It is built, just waiting for the carrier company to bring it.
