Question ok guys what can i do to lift a 97 f150 2x4

A friend of mine has just bought a 97 f150 2x4 4.2 and he wants to know what are his choices of lifting it to look like a prerunner. He wants to know about spindle, sus, and body lifts and what their prices are. He wants to fit 33s maybe 35s. Could he get by without changing gear ratios and a whole lot of money. Mainly he just wants to know how to lift the truck and fit 33s THE CHEAPEST WAY. Thanks.

cheapest way? cheap = body lift. what gears does he have in now? he wont really have to change gears, but he will have to live with the sluggishness off the line.

definately a body lift for cheap. he sure as hell aint gonna get a prerunner look for cheap.

HEHE show him this and make him cry cuz he cant afford it all.

Fly-n-Hi is here in AZ. They are a ripoff and sloppy workers. Dont go there, just admire the truck.

Question will a 3in body lift get him up to 35s

Will a 3in body lift get him up to 35s and him not have to change the gears? Also how much is a 3-3.5in spindle lift? THanks

im not positive, but i think that 33's is usually the biggest size you want to go with with just a 3" body lift on a 2WD. for 35's you're gonna need either more lift, or fender trimming.

LIFT

MY TRUCK HAS 3 INCH SPINDLES WITH DAYSTAR COIL SPACER 1.5" AND THE 33" XTERAIN PROCOM TIRES ON 16x10 EAGLE WHEELS AND THE TIRES RUB ONLY IF I TURN REAL SHARP.

I DONT THINK A 3 " BODY LIFT WILL GET 33 ON IT

Body lifts are ugly and no gears will slow it down. Just my opinion.

O have an 98 2wd f150 wanting to put 32" tires with 15x12 rims. Gonna do a 3 inch lift front and 2 inch lift rear. Should that be enough clearance? Or would I need a body lift also? Lmk

I suggest starting your own thread instead of bumping one over a decade old.

Also, before anyone can say how much lift you'll need you need to pick wheels that'll fit your truck. The smallest you can fit is a 16", they don't even make 15" wheels in the correct bolt pattern.
