6" Lift - 2006 FX4

As soon as I can save up the money, I want to put a 6" lift on my 06 F150. I'm thinkin either Fabtech or Skyjacker. Does anyone know what size tires I can put on with the 6" lift? I'm also hoping they can fit my stock wheels (20"). I'm pretty new to this stuff, so any input would be very helpful!

That would be awesome. I have the Pirelli scorpions right now, and they are awesome tires, but they would look really goofy with the lift lol.

your stock wheel and tire will run between 32 and 32.5" tall. With a 6" lift, 35's are perfect but minimum i would do is a very agressive looking 305 series 33.5"

It's not all that expensive. I've gone through a set of 35" terra grapplers and now on a set of 37" kumhos. 35's were 1550 and kumhos 1700.

If you are gone to keep your stock rims, make sure to get a lift that will work with the stock rims.

If you read the install instructions (available online) you should be able to find out how much backspacing you need. I have the PComp 6" lift and I am running my stock 18" rims for the winter. The tie-rods slightly rub the outside lip of the rim at full turn. Fairly sure there are guys here running the stockers on a lift. However if you get 35's you might runinto problems with the tire sidewall rubbing on the bigger stearing nuckle that comes in the lift. I would plan for new rims.

I have a 6" ProComp with 20"s and 35"s.. no rubbing here.

My wheels are 20x9.5 6 on 135mm bolt pattern and 5.25" backspacing, ProComp 7005s. And my Tires are 35x12.5r20 Toyo MTs.

I drove around with the stock 20" wheels for a day or two while waiting for my new wheels to come in after the lift, I didn't have rubbing there either.

I kind of figured that 20" would be big enough to clear the tie-rods.
