Skyjacker Lift Question

So I'm looking at a 6" Skyjacker lift, but there's two kits available. When I called and asked what the difference was, they said that one used an add-a-leaf, while the other one completely replace the leaf springs with their RideSoft Springs or whatever. The guy on the phone said that towing capacity isn't affected either way, but the ride will be softer with the new leaf springs instead of the add-a-leaf.

My question is this:

1) Does anyone think there is actually a difference in the ride quality?
2) Does the AAL stiffen up the ride?
3) If you could hypothetically get the kit with the all new RideSoft leaf springs for only $310 more than the kit with the AAL, would it be worth it?

Thanks for any help you can give!!

i think that there would be a difference in the ride quality. i have a skyjacker add a leaf on my truck and it did stiffen up the ride. its not too bad but it is noticeable. if it was me, i would get the new leaf springs. $300 isnt bad for a new set of springs. if you look into getting them by themselves they cost quite a bit more than that

so jhedges15, if you had to do it again and the price difference was only $300, would you opt for the more expensive lift with the replacement RideSoft leaf springs instead of the add-a-leaf? (Keep in mind towing doesn't matter to me, just ride quality and some light trail offroading)

if i could, i would definitely get the replacement springs instead of an add a leaf. i have looked into getting replacement springs and they would cost me around $600 to do it now. Especially if you want to do some trail riding, you would want the replacement springs. they will allow more flex and wheel travel.

Thanks a lot man. That just made my decision for me right there. I didn't consider the difference it would make in the flex and wheel travel.
