Which lift for F-250
Well i just sold my 2004 f150 fx4 and bought a 2006 f-250 fx4 supercrew powerstroke. I know some of you have either owned f250's before or know someone who has, so i was wondering what the best 8" lift is for under $2500. This is purely a street queen and i would like it to ride like stock. I know this is the f150 forum but you all have helped so well in the past that i figured i would stick here. Im new to f250's so i dont know much about lifts for them. If you guys could help i would greatly appreciate it.
thanks

I dont know about brand thats personal to me but I would look for somthing that is 4link upfrunt it gives you more wheel travel and will look better then the stock arm will. maybe bds there no questions asked warenty is cool! http://bds-suspension.com/kits/530H

Fabtech with the 4 link front: http://www.fabtechmotorsports.com/ap...superduty.html
Under $2500? Not sure about that one. If you are driving that kind of truck and want that kind of lift I dont see how putting a price limit on something that will affect driveability and safety makes much sense.

because there are a ton of lift's out there that are under $2500, its just which one do you guys like better. As a matter of fact most SD lifts are farely cheap and i dont think they would make them if they werent safe. Now there are ones like the fabtech with the 4.0 coilovers for like 4 grand, thats just rediculous. I know there is a lift under 2500 that will give me the ride qualty i want, its just which one is it.

Agree with the post above. On our trucks, weve already got a 3 link upfront. Coilovers with any brand lift will give you a great ride, without a 4 link being necessary - as you said, its a street queen. Kelderman would undoubtedly be the best, but bags, compressors, and the 4 link front are gonna be a bundle. Id lean towards a simple 6 inch lift with some coilovers to keep costs down and ride quality up. You can further keep costs down by using radius drop brackets instead of new arms - again, its a street queen, so these things do not matter.
Edit: Wait, I dont agree with the post above - thats an F150, which means nothing here. But coilovers are the choice to make.
Edit: Okay, Im losing it. Dana 60 means Superduty. Maybe hes got two trucks. So he is right haha.

Icon vehicle dynamics are formerly Donahoe racing. they make extremely nice products that will work awesome offroad and just as well on the high way. i cant believe how reasonable thier prices are too.
also just go to rockymountainsusp.com they carry fabtech, superlift, tuff country, rough country, cst, rancho, etc

As far as ERAs vs. Drop brackets, ERAs all the way. Even for a DD street queen. Drop brackets throw alot of extra stress on the frame. On the older trucks frame cracking is not a foreign concept when using drop brackets. Plus the look cheap and half a**ed anyway.

yea sorry guys. I was gonna make a thread to show off my "extra truck" but ive been too lazy to take pics. I dont wanna be one of those guys who posts with no pics. Two just aren't enough.
I have an 04 f-150 with procomp 6" Stage II with mx6 coilovers up front and mx6's in back
"Extra" truck is an 08 F-250 with Pro comp 6" with coil springs, Mx-6's up front, and radius arms. The rear has MX6's and its got a D60 up front and Ford 10.5 in the rear.
One day i'll get around to the pics.
