well i noticed today when iam cruising in overdrive and light on the throttle the truck shutters when i give it more throttle it stopps. what do i do? i hav version 20-21

 

Mine does it to. I did the latest up date and it helped some but it's still there. When I talked to a guy at Edge about my monitor reading zero some times he told my to check the connection and to do an update. So I ask him if it would get rid of the shudder on level 3. He said he hasn't heard of level 3 having that problem I said I'll update and see. It's not as bad but still here. When the Livewire is released I'm getting one and I'll sell this one. I like my Edge and all but I think I am going to go with the custom tunes when the release it.

 

my truck did the same thing at first then it went away. some of the guys on here have said that the comp. just has to get used to the new settings. by no means am i an expert, thats just what happened with mine.

 

I've had mine since July and I did my first update about a week ago, it still shudders. I did read a thread not that long ago that the new update fixed the shudder problem for who ever it was that started the thread.

i only updated mine before the initial install a couple months ago. might update it after i regear and lift when i get back home to my truck. running level 33 and the settings bluejay posted a while back. love it, cant wait till i regear.

 

Mine shuddered for a week or so then went away. I think it just takes the comp some time to learn it. I mean it is a different setting, but what would I know I am a firefighter, not a mechanic or tuner programmer

 

The first thing i did when i got mine on christmas was update, my edge was built on 11/08/06 and had version 20.21 also, when i updated it was version 20.24. I dont have any shudder.

Level 3 shudder:

I updated mine to 20/24 and got the worst shudder of any edge shudder I've had. I went back to 20/21 and I have a slight shudder on level three. Mine was built on 11/08/06 and I updated before I hooked it up, it came with 20/21, but with 20/24 had very bad shudder on level 3. I went to 20/17, bad shudder, went back to 20/21, slight shudder. I found out that level 23 and 24 are unstable, which means they haven't been tested, which means they will not be in my pcm anytime soon.

I am dis-satisfied with my edge since it seems to me like it is messing up the tranny. What a waste of money. I hope they get a program that will work. I have called them and they aren't much help. Hopefully people here can help.

 

I was running level 3 for a while and got tired of some crazy shuddering when i push the gas going 60. It was like my truck was about to die. So, I went to level 2 and am buying the cheap gas again. Its nice having all the gagues and the power pickup over stock for sure. Worth my 300 bucks

 

how are u guys updating? the link in the book is no good, and i tried a link that someone here gave and when i go to download lightning software it says page cant be opened or not found, maybe i need to use internet explorer because i use firefox 2.0 now.

I know that EDGE has made programs and versions for specific hex codes. My hex code actually happened to be on an older version like 18/19 and it fixed the shutter. Kinda wierd. I updated to 21 and I had shudder for about a week, and it magically went away. Tech support should be able to help though.

 

man with all these people saying they are going to be getting rid of there edges for the xcal maybe i can pick one up for logging pretty cheap.
