About to buy a 2010 F150

I need to know which tuners give the most bang for the buck. Who, how much power, how much money, any MPG increases?

Good evening Sir,
I'm afraid you have the wrong desire at this time.

you say!

No really, you do.

What you need to know is how to use the search function to review the hundreds of posts regarding programmers, canned tunes, stock tunes, and owner reviews of their selected programmer and tuner.

After perusing the gobs of data, you will also learn a nasty little secret:

Wait for it.....

Promise not to tell anyone else?

Not crossing your fingers are you?

Okay then.....drum roll please..........................................

There aren't many programmers available for the 09-10s and the ones that are can only supply canned tunes.

But don't take my word for it. Fire up that Search button and have some fun!

THAT, was priceless, MGD!

But to the OP, he really was not putting you on - he's right! It takes time for the custom tuners to work up tunes for the new products. Sometimes, a LOOOONG time!

Oh crap!!! *slap head* x 2!

The TONE of the post was MGD in my feeble little senile brain! I'm truly sorry and all I can do is BEG (humbly) your forgiveness.

Shotgunz - it was priceless!

You guys are going to be the death of me if you keep this up. :o :o

Shotgunz - I think I owe you, big time. What was it about "atta-boys and awe-sh*ts"?. I think I just compiled a bunch of the latter, didn't I?

(One day, we need to get together for a drink or two - I'm buying.)

No worries Jack - I actually thought it was pretty damn funny.

Hell - it could've been a great joke! I'm sure he will get a big laugh out of it...

You're on for the drink - but I owe you a lot more than you owe me, so you get the first round and the rest are on me!

Yes, Custom Tunes ARE Available for 2009's and 2010's.

Well, I hate to break the bad new to ALL of you, but you are wrong.

There are tuners available for the 2009 and 2010 trucks. The infamous Gryphon is not.

The Xcallibrator3 by SCT will in fact tune 2010's with custom tunes. The canned tunes that come with the Xcal3 will tune some 2009's, but in my case, my Xcal3 just read that it did not support my truck. Mine is a new 2010... go figure.

Currently, VMP, PHP, and Troyer are writing tunes for the 2009 AND 2010 trucks. I have paid my dues to them, and am now on the waiting list for custom tunes from PHP and Troyer. On order, PHP said they'd ship tunes in five weeks. It's been about eight. Troyer said I'd see tunes by the end of April or beginning of May. In both cases, it's not that they aren't available, it is just that I am "In Line" with the rest of the gang waiting on tunes. I thought I'd try out both Bill's and Mike's tunes for fun. I've had Mike's before (several times), but never Bill's. With all I have read on PHP, I thought I'd better take a try.

By the time I read the whole thing, I thought MGD wrote it too.

Ummm
That's kinda what Jack and Sir Shotgunz were refering to.
The only customizable tuner on the market right now for the 09-10's is SCT's programmers.

Yeah, I guess I'm kinda s l o w... S o r r e e e.

I read Shotgunz "There aren't many programmers available for the 09-10s and the ones that are can only supply canned tunes" and took it that the tuners that will work can't deliver custom tunes.

Smoke

Does anyone currently have a 2010 tuned? I contacted a reputable tuner and this is what I was told.
"We are still waiting on SCT to release data logging software for the 2010's. We have one of our own that we are developing our Saleen SC truck program with and have no transmission control or any data logging parameters. We will have tunes available as soon as SCT gets things updated. There is no ETA on this, we have been bugging them for months now."

Maybe thats why your tuner didnt work on your 2010?
