Cleaning Glass

For anyone who is not satisfied with their normal glass cleaners here's a tip on a product passed on to me from the guys over at Meguiars. I have tried this and it works great to remove etched in water spots or baked in bug splatters from your glass without any harm.

#4 Heavy Cut Cleaner: http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+M0416

it's not advertised for glass, but does a superb job of removing stubborn water spots, bugs etc... that normal glass cleaner will not. It uses a diminishing abrasive that buffs down to a polishing rouge. Just use a terry towel and some elbow grease. Use a MF to buff out final app. Leaves a very nice shiny polished glass surface. No more water spots

ESF and I talked about this a few times, its labor intensive and works better with a rotory. ESF had pics and so does Megs forum.

The #4 is geared more at getting out tough water spots. Good write up.

Try some bar keepers friend on the windshield. Excellent for taking off the road grime. Wet the windshield, apply a light coat of the powder and wash with a wet microfiber cloth. Rinse well.
