I'm also interested in a group buy, what did the e-fans go for on the last group buy?

I called Troyers on friday and spoke with Anita and she said Mike was working on possibly giving us a deal. She said that somebody else had already called in but I figured the more people that call and are going to buy them then the better of a deal we can get

Now one of you guys needs to organize the others. Get a commitment. Get checks. Get credit card numbers. Get deposits. Show Troyer that you are all serious buyers. He doesn't need to haggle, negotiate, and then end up selling only a couple of fans at some loss leader price. Also, consider negotiating a package of some sort. Ask Troyer to bundle the electric fans with an underdrive pulley.

I gave Troyer a call Thursday, but haven't heard back. Good to know they are talking about it, and didn't just forget about what I said. I suppose another thread should also be started in the Group Buy section on this forum to catch any others that are not looking here.

Ok, Troyer got back to me today. It seems that he has been meaning to adjust the price for the efan kit for the past while now since they have the new relays in the kits and mounting brackets, but would give us a group deal yet.

The offer is $389+Shipping for the efan kit (otherwise $429). He would need at least 8 people to come in to do this. So starting April 15 to May 15 anyone that wants this kit can call in and get in on this buy. Just have to say you are part of the forum and want to get in on the group buy for the F-150 efan.

I did ask if they would be able to go down lower if we could get more commitments, but he said this is the best they can do, especially since they want to bring the price up on them.

I also asked about the underdirive pulleys, and he said he would be able to do combined price of $599+shipping for the both of them. The pulleys include the shorter belt that is needed. So $260 value for $210. So would save $90 all together.

I will start a new thread in the group buy section of this forum also to catch anyone that is not looking here.

So what do you think?

I was figuring the price might be a little bit lower with having a group buy but I guess any savings is better than nothing at all. I am for sure going to get the fans but the pulley set I am not sure about yet. Thanks for heading this up

While you have the OEM fan & fan shroud off, before you install the electric fans, is the best time to remove the fan belt and install that underdrive pulley.

$400 for something I can put together for $150? I've been hearing a tad too many problems with Troyer's kits as well....
