trimble, who gives a **** if people wanna down your thread, your truck will be probly the sickest truck on the site when your finished, and the best part about it, its not a mall crawler!
its not that i dont want people downing my thread i just dont want them coming in with no info.

i could care less if someone hates me or my truck. But come with reasons. you know how these threads get, they get so crammed with unusefull info that no one wants to read them and they float down to the archives never to be brought up again.

and TLT just doesnt like the look of SFA he likes the look of an IFS which is understandlable. Sometimes that big axle in the way is an eye sore i get that.

But im not trying to win any beauty contest my truck is more function than form. (and function to me is 3-4 foot deep mud holes or rough trails)

Sorry there RP, I'll try and keep it clean.

I'm glad you posted how you painted your wheels. I have to do that to mine
Amen. Lame part is, even when we get our junk out on the trail, its never done !

You need help with your wheels, let me know. I posted up those steelies a little while back to try and inspire Trim to do more to his. Found a good website to get some DIY beadlocks or rim stiffeners. Looks good.

but you know how 4 links are. set it up one way and it ot work then tear it apart and back to the drawling board. maybe this so called 4 link calculator will help but i have my doubts.
I understand you have someone else doing the link, but if the time ever comes where you want to design your own, BenTech Pro is the only way to roll ! **** will save you countless hours, tube, money, etc etc etc. Such an awesome program, I LOVE it !!!!

So cool !

And I must say, this thread is getting a little too lovey dovey for me. Too much smoochin back and forth, and not enough tech info and personal bashing.

I will continue to keep my comments limited to keep RP from working overtime . But I will be keeping tuned for sure Trim. Looking forward to more tech on this bad boy.

MT, you know if the bend tech software can do rolled tube? I have an idea that's been rattling around for awhile which would use a tube roller instead of a bender. Just wondering

thats what im trying to do. get this out there as an option.

to lift my truck to clear 38's and regear and get wheels it was gonna cost me about 4500 im gonna SAS it for less than that and be running 40's with a steeper gear ratio.

Trimble, making great progress I see. What is the estimated time until completion?
You should head over to Pirate and check out their new "mud" section. I'm sure they would appreciate the build. Im sure some off the people there are close to you too. They have a great thread over there called like ***** and mud, or something like that. Anyway, someone posted a couple vids with tons of mudding going down.

Can't wait to see the finished product.

yeah man ill be going by there tomorrow. The frame i believe is completely bare. (all the stock suspension pieces havce been cut out). And if i heard him right its sitting close to ride heigth. The brackets have all be designed on a CAD program and should be getting cut out in the water jet tomorrow. Im still in need of D60 rear disc brakes. all the conversions i find are OUT rageously expensive. I might be stuck putting the crappy drums on it. But ill gonna check some junk yards.

Im back on leaf springing the whole thing agian. The 4 link was gonna cause me some problems if i ever decide to put a different motor in because of weight differences, then it was gonna take FOREVER to finish so its back to leaf springs all around 13" leaf springs plus 3" body lift equals 16" of lift. Ill clear the 40's easily.

Merctech: those wheels arent mine. They were just some that Joe made for a customer. Im really considering something similar. Just not skulls

hopefully pictures coming tomorrow
