Bees in Mirror (don't know what section to post this)

I have wasp's or yellow jackets living in my driver side mirror (glory cap I believe its called). I want to spray em with some bee killer or something...but I want to make sure it ain't gonna screw up my electric turn signals and my paint from the run off. Any help would be appreciated!

PS. MOD's please feel free to relocate to proper section of forums if this is incorrect)

I would suggest using a spray bottle with soapy water. It actually kills them faster than wasp spray. First it coats there wings so they fall instantly and then it sufficates them.

I've had bee's in my mirrors, and bee's in my fuel door. Mice built a nest under my air cleaner on one of my cars and damn near caught it on fire. Had one of my cats crawl onto a motor mount and it rode 60 miles to my job before it crawled out.
I agree with the soapy water too.

If you are brave enough, that cap will actually pop off.

Push the top of the mirror in and then you should see two fairly large tabs that you depress and it should come off. That way you can get a good look and get the nest out of there for good.

Most people call the skull caps. I bet it is behind the mirror not the cap since thier isn't much room behind them. If you do pull it off get the glu gun out the body guys break most of them.

No reason to kill them! Drive really fast and tap on top of mirror until they are all gone! Just don't do it on your street! hahaha!

This only works while wearing a short sleeved shirt

Soapy water should do it, If not I use WD40 all the time to clean liquid asphalt off my truck with no ill effects.
