Lightning wheels: new style or old style??
What's up? Just want to see what everyone thinks...
I have a 2002 F150 Supercrew, White. I wanna put new wheels on it and am partial to the Lightning wheels, buuutttt......can't decide which ones I like, or would look better.
So what's everyone think: The 99-00 style wheel, or the new style wheel?????
Thanx

I went with some off an '02 for my SCrew.
Take a look in the classified section, there are some L wheels in good shape that need skins in GA, might be a good buy for you, vs the $ 229.00 that Tire Rack wants for them. I don't know who close you are to him.
I got a set local, due to the added shipping costs of $ 100.00 for the set in GA, and then putting a new set of skins on them, it wound up more then the set I got here, which had 3K miles on them..so the skins are good to go in the spring !
New set of Goodyear F1 skins : 4 @ $ 192.00 from Tire Rack.com, then you would need to mount them local ( they have a list of locations if you don't have anyone to do it ). Other options are Nittos seem to be the big one, you can check the L forum to verify.
BTW : L lugs are $7-8 each WHEEL, not each when you go looking for the lugs, and get yourself a set of Gorilla locks for them.
Don't forget to keep a set of Acorn lugs in the truck for using your spare... I bought a set that I leave in there, as I swap back and forth summer to winter.
