i currently have P235/70R16 tires and a 3.08 gear ratio which both suck! i haven't figured out what size tires and wheels i want to upgrade to but i'm afraid i'm going to have to do a gear swap if i get bigger tires which i really don't want to have to do. any suggestions?

 

I assume that you have a 2WD stock hieght truck, if so you can put these tire sizes on without needing new gears. Keep in mind the 3.08 gears are intended for optimal gas milage not optimal not power.

255/70-16 - (also a stock tire on F-150's)

265/75-16 - (I had these on a 97 2wd with 3.55 gears and a 4.6 and they worked fine)
