Which Tire Size?

I have a 97 XLT S/C with 255x70x16 Goodyear RTS as replacements for the GY AP's. I've probably got another 6-12 months on this set. I was thinking about upping the size. What can I safely fir on my stock alloy rims? Will the 275/75/16 fit? Will it efect the odo, spedo as well?

Thanks,

John

I put 265/75-16's on my 97 2WD with no problem, the speedo was about 4 miles per hour slower that I was actual going but I originally had 235/70-16's which is much more of an increase in size that yours would be.

I have 265's on my 99 2wd gives it a mean look, lost a little on the speed but the traction and looks make up for it
