WOW you guys are tough..! ..the only reason i brought up the badge thing is ..if some pinhead toasts you in a race he'll run around disrespecting L's and saying how slow they are...it's kinda not fair ....but hey to each his own..

 

It is no more fair than everybody buying cobra wheels and emblems for their GT and getting dusted off. It doesn't make me mad when I hear "He outrun that cobra" when the car was a six cylinder with snakes on the fenders.

By the time I take it that far, I will have my 150 shot installed.

260hp + 150hp = 410hp

It should hold its own.

I was thinking about how cool it would be to make it fast and when people say "Man, that lightning rolls!" and I can say "It's not a lightning"

I may never even do it. The bumper cover has been colleting dust since I bought the truck and right now I am really focused on the k-member, long tube, tremec install that I am planning for the cobra over my christmas holidays.

 

Yeah you have a point on the cobra deal too..kinda annoying though...most people don't even know what a L is !!..and if they know what one is they don't know how to distinguish one from a f150....i get mistaken for one once in a while too...good luck on the car..

 

I have already had a few people ask me how fast my truck is thinking that it is a lightning.

It is funny b/c people like us can spot the difference right away.

What is that bad or something ?..not saying anything bad about the L forum..It's just there are a LARGE amount of strongly opinionated folks in there.....keeps it quite interesting in there..

 

Calm down Roush, you are not "disrespecting YOUR "L Brothers" by responding to my post....hehe By the way, YOUR truck color is cool too, sometimes it looks green and sometimes it looks blue. One of my Firebirds was like that.

Why do u always have to buy new. 2 years ago I found a 99' Lightning for $23,000. It was originally $27000 but if I can talk him down anyone can.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new car smell too, but I don't want to pay $2-4k more for it. I would rather buy a used one that has all the bugs worked out and be able to pay it off sooner.

Oh, I didn't buy it because he wanted to give me $8k for my 2 year old GT. He finally came around 2 months later and gave me payoff for it and I drove away with my Silver STX. (the Lightning was gone, and I didn't want that much debt anymore).
