I'll go ahead and ask a question to something I feel I'm certain I know the answer but I've been wrong a few times. I somehow managed to hit a piece a rebar perfectly. Went through my tire and rim. Is this something that can be repaired or should I just go ahead and get a new rim/tire? I'm not sure they can patch the tire. Figured it was worth a shot.
Trash the tire and rim. The hole in the tire is too large to be safe even if it could be patched. And if the rim could be repaired it would cost more than buying another used rim. Time to search for another rim on marketplace, craigslist, or where ever.
