2007 F150 TPMS replacement (compatibility ?).
2007 F150 TPMS replacement (compatibility ?).
OK guys, my TPMS is throwing an occasional light even though the tires are aired up to 35 PSI. Batteries are probably going dead. Since I am having new tires put on next week, I would like to put in new sensors. Only problem, the 2007/2008 are kind of the bastard years for TPMS. The factory sensors are the banded sensors and are stupid expensive and require a special tool to install. So....
I have read a thread discussing a 2008 truck:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...s-sensors.html
and looked on Oroteks website:
http://www.orotekusa.com/AppGuide.aspx
that both seem to suggest that the universal model will work.
Has anyone done this in a 2007 with success? I would really like to confirm before I spend $200 on TPMS sensors that may not work. I would also like to know about other valve stem mounted brands that have been successfully learned to a 2007 truck.
Thanks guys!

Just a quick note to follow up. Ended up getting Schrader EZ Sensor 33000 TPMS units. My brother is a MAC Tools guy so he was able to borrow me the tool to program these for my specific model year, although you can buy them preprogrammed as well.
Took 5 minutes total to program them and after installing them it was easy to relearn the truck (cycle ign 3 times, hit brakes, cycle ign 3 times, light up each sensor).
ou can find more info here: http://www.ez-sensor.com/what-is-the-ez-sensor.html
