Brake suggestion

Well it time to replace my front brakes and I'm looking for suggestions. I need some that can handle towing my 6000 pound camper in the mountains. I was thinking of going with ebc sport rotors an yellow stuff pads. Then I found baer decela pads and rotors. Baer is supposed to be really good right? Tell me what y'all think would be my best set up. One of these? Go back oem? Or something else. Thanks

If you go to rockauto, they have listed special pads for towing or high performance use. There are many higher quality rotors.

If you really want to do it right go with larger Brembo replacements. (expensive)

Anything but OEM. Brembo is top quality, Baer is very good stuff too. Piece together yourself will save a few bucks. Stoptech slotted rotors cryo treated and ceramic pads of your choice will be more price friendly.

Well I can't afford the brembo but I can do the baer rotors and pads. Would y'all suggest those over the ebc or the stoptech?

If you are looking for a reasonably priced solution and don't mind ordering online, look at Centric rotors and pads. They are high quality and have a few different types. I have over 100k on my front Centric rotors and ceramic pads.

Baer has always had a great reputation, especially in the sport car world. I never had their products personally.

EBC has been known to be good but some folks have complained over the years.

I personally have the Stoptech ( previously known as PowerSlot ) since summer of 2011 and 40k miles paired with a set of Hawk LTS semi-metallic pads and they are great brakes. I should mention I do not tow, I have only had to tow once with this truck but the brakes handled everything fine.

Here is a tear down of my brakes after 40k miles when I decided to grease the pins up and check everything out.

I have the Hawk pads and I'm really impressed with their stopping power.

Well the hawks and stoptech are cheapest. baer is cheaper than ebc. I know price has no effect on how well brakes perform but idk.. I wish I knew someone who's had the baer and ebc

EBC fan here. 7000 GreenStuff pads are the best I've ever had. Running the very famous Wagners right now which are great, especially for the money, but I'm going back to EBC.
