20s or 18s?

Hey guys, I'll be ordering some rims and tires in the next couple of weeks. I was wanting to get some opinions before hand. I am planning on some XD Spy's with 35 inch Toyo mt's but I'm turn between 20 or 18 inch rims. I was wondering what you guys think. I have a pic in my album of the truck and was just trying to get a feel before I order. Thanks

I've got 18" Addicts on 35"s. Check my album (or my sig). Is that too much sidewall for you? Personally I think 20"s and 35"s don't have enough sidewall. And not to mention the tires cost a pretty penny more, like Dixie said.

20" looks so much better, pretty much going to be a standard size some day.

If you are trying to keep the costs down, then go with 18s. It is amazing how much more a tire is just from 18 to 20, especially considering you are actually getting LESS rubber than if you bought 18s. If your not on any strict budget, then 20s and 35s will look great, but if so, 18s will still look good.

Personally, I like both. But I'm gonna give you the same advice that I've given members here for years. When trying to decide between two sizes on lifts, wheels or tires, always go with the larger of the two. If you don't you will regret it shorty and probably wind up selling what you "settled" for. Go with the 20's in your case.
I can't tell you how glad I am that I took my own advice in 2005 when trying to decide between 20's and 22's for our Expy. Now my son asks me why I didn't buy 24's! I told him because 22's were considered HUGE in 2005!!

Get 18s. They're more proportional to your sidewall. If you want 20s, get 37s

If cost is an issue or you like a larger tire sidewall then of course go 18's. If you like a larger wheel with decent sidewall then go 20's. Personally I think wheels look so much better in a 20" size.

I've had 20s and 22s on my old 02 Screw. Couldn't be happier with my 18s on my new 2010 Screw, and the cost of tires I can handle. But if you have the slightest doubt about the 18s you should probably go with 20s, you'll be happier in the end. Until you have to buy tires again.

I've grown to be a fan of 20's, but only on the newer trucks. I have factory 20's on my 07. And the cost of tires is not very significant I feel. The cost differenceo of tires from 18's to 20's is maybe $30-$50 dollars per tire. Sorry, but $100-$200 is peanuts when you're spending $1200+.

20s are way too expensive. My vote is for 17s, but since that's not a choice I say 18s
