Wheel+Tire Clarifications before ordering

Hey guys, well i've decided to go the leveled route with my truck (5100's cranked to 2" up front), i may need to be functional offroad in trails in the future, hence my choice for All terrains. No deep mud or harsh environments, just something that can get me thru light mud, sand and dirt+ and still Look good in the city, and blend in well in a carshow

Choice of Tire i'm leaning towards are the Nitto terra Grapps, in a 285/50/22, which is approx a 33.3" tire and wrapping 22"s Ion Alloy's 180 series.

My biggest Concern is the negative offset, will stick out too much and/or have major trimming involved?? i wouldn't mind cutting the inner lip of the fender flare or a little off of my harley valance, with the 2" level in place

Specs on the rim in question are:
22"x10"
6x135 bolt pattern
offset -15, (should yield a 4.9" Backspace according to rimsntires comparison chart)

Any info on this matter is great!!

The negative offset and 4.9" of backspace is gonna make them stick out pretty far. I would try to find a wheel with a positive offset and more around 5.5-6" of backspace. You shouldn't get any rubbing with that size tire so no trimming would be necessary.

I've got 0 offset and I had to trim a little on the front valance... -15 is prob going to be pushing it! Mine stick out a good 1.5-2". I think they'll look bada$$ if they work though!!

i wouldn't mind having them stick-out at 1"-1.5"s then the Oem wheels, increasing the track width would be nice without the use of spacers. anything past that and it'll look wierd and outta place, a clean muscular 4x4 look is what i'm shootin' for but they'll stick out too far then i may be back at square 1---i really like the wheels because i have yet to see someone else on this site with them

Bjnewton your wheel tire packge is sweet, what's the spec? 20 BMF's and 33" trail's??

How's the noise with your tires compared to stock on the highway?

Thanks! You are correct! lol 20x9 Novakanes, 0 offset and 5" backspace, and the tires are 305/55. They're louder but having the music on a little drowns them out so they aren't bad at all. I had Cooper Discoverer STTs on my last truck and they howled a lot more for having basically the same tread pattern

that's comforting to hear, if i can't find 22"s that will stick out, min. minor rubbing, and are within the boundary of $1400 ()for all 4 then i may go with 20s and an M/T

That's a Ram leveled and the rims are 22x10's also with -25 offset, i like the look- my confusion lies where if they'll stick out less then this, and the rubbing...heck if i could go to shop and try them then buy them i would, but online prices cannot be beat :/
