Kumho KL61, Terra Grapplers or BFG Rugged Terrain T/A?

Time to replace the Revos. I have to say I am disappointed in them. I put a set of 245s on the wife's Nitro and 285s on my '07 SCrew.

I got a little over 30k out of mine with rotations every 3-5k, and better mileage on the wifes, but hers scalloped really bad then made huge road noise.

Considering the tires in the subject. I don't find much on the Kumhos, but good TireRack reviews (then again so did the Revos), and I've always liked and had good luck with BFGs.

Looking at 285/70/17s

Thoughts?

I have the terra grapplers in that size and they have suited my needs. About 10k on them and don't show much wear at all. I do mostly highway driving with a bit of dirt when camping. Only negative is they don't look aggressive at all. Had them in a minimal amount of mud and made it out fine. If I could go back I would have got the e rated tires as they have more tread on them. 16/32 versus 12/32 or so. Overall happy with them and can't complain too much about the price.

My favorite tires are the cooper Zeon Ltz's they look great! or terra grapplers, but I heard they dont wear like they used to? Also on those Bfg's your looking at, are you talking about the old or new tread design? I think the new tread design would be ideal for you

None of the above. BFG AT KOs. One of the best all around tires made. Will last 50k miles easily. If you take care of them, you could 60-65k.

As far as quality goes the BF Goodrich will be your best bet..they are owned and made by michelin..bridgestone has horrible treadwear and are severly overpriced..you cant go wrong with the bfg's
