Kumho KL61, Terra Grapplers or BFG Rugged Terrain T/A?
Kumho KL61, Terra Grapplers or BFG Rugged Terrain T/A?
Time to replace the Revos. I have to say I am disappointed in them. I put a set of 245s on the wife's Nitro and 285s on my '07 SCrew.
I got a little over 30k out of mine with rotations every 3-5k, and better mileage on the wifes, but hers scalloped really bad then made huge road noise.
Considering the tires in the subject. I don't find much on the Kumhos, but good TireRack reviews (then again so did the Revos), and I've always liked and had good luck with BFGs.
Looking at 285/70/17s
Thoughts?

I have the terra grapplers in that size and they have suited my needs. About 10k on them and don't show much wear at all. I do mostly highway driving with a bit of dirt when camping. Only negative is they don't look aggressive at all. Had them in a minimal amount of mud and made it out fine. If I could go back I would have got the e rated tires as they have more tread on them. 16/32 versus 12/32 or so. Overall happy with them and can't complain too much about the price.
My favorite tires are the cooper Zeon Ltz's they look great! or terra grapplers, but I heard they dont wear like they used to? Also on those Bfg's your looking at, are you talking about the old or new tread design? I think the new tread design would be ideal for you
