Gas will not be as big of a problem around town but your RPMs are gonna be kinda high on the highway. City driving will be nice though.

4.56 is your best bet. What rear axle do you have?

Here is the calculaters that I have been using, I think they work well! just remember to use a decimal . not a : when entering the ratio or it wont work.

Haha not that bad just gonna be slower acceleration past 75 or so you can still do 100 easy
Like what i wanted was low end grunt so no one can say my truck has no ***** when my $5k 14y/o 2v 4.6 truck pulls a new $30k+ 3v 4.6 truck that has 72-77 more hp and 55 lbft of torque MORE...haha.
There is nothing wrong with 4.56's...Might be a better all around gear for ya. Just depends what you want..

I find it hard to believe your truck still hits 100 with 4.88s easily.

i think it would pretty easy, cause with 3.55s, mine runs 80 in second, so with 4.88s you would actually use all 4 gears when haulin ***

Honestly I would go 4.56's...

The effective gear ratio for 35's is somewhere around 4.20 and for 37's it's not much higher somewhere around 4.35... Assuming you currently have 3.73's and don't do a whole ton of heavy towing.. 4.88 is more gear than you will ever need for either one of those sizes. I just tossed a set of 4.88's for 4.56's and its a vast difference being closer to the effective gear ratio...

if you don't want to consider the effective gear ratio then consider this for the mpg's and average performance:
4.56's-- good highway, so-so city
4.88's-- so-so highway, good city

Like i said its all about what you want. Lot of torque down low or do you wanna have a better all around gear for torque and mileage.. mine is more obnoxiously torquey. i like it. I just cruise on the hwy
