Will 2010 20's fit my 2007

I googled and read a lot about 17's hitting calipers on the 2010's. This leads me to think I should be okay. I have a chance to pick up some 2010 FX4 20's with tires and TPMS for $600.00

What do you think? Will the rims fit? What about the TPMS will they work with the 2007 system?

Thanks

Cos

The wheels will fit. I think the TPMS will work also but you will need to buy new mounting bands.

- thank you

- why new mounting bands? I plan on buying them tires and all for now. They are already mounted (maybe I should have mentioned that), I just will need it to be re-programmed.

Could be. You didn't mention they will be a complete set of tires/wheels and TPMS. I believe the 2010's use a TPMS mounted on the valve stem (like my Expy). I'm not sure if there is a problem since the sensors are different. I wouldn' think there would be.

The sensor system on the 2010 truck is a valve type sensor and the sensor on the 2007 is a strap type sensor. Both are a 315mhz sensors. But the sensors on the 2010 truck can be learned by the truck where as the sensors on the 2007 requires a trip to the dealer to have them programmed. I would double check with the dealer on this one and make sure they will work.

Just pick up one of these tools from the Dealer or Ebay:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...motiveQ5fTools and re-set your own anytime. Works like a charm on my 07 with different sensors

Question for you guys. What max width tire could I run on these rims? I would like to get a 305/315 tire. I am not sure if it will fit with my stock rim offset.

I currently have a 3" spacer on the front fyi. Right now I have a 285 and it looks like a tractor trailer.

You are right about the OEM 20x8.5's backspacing causing problems with wide tires. Some 305mm (12.50 inch) wide tires fit without issue, but some (mainly mud tires) will touch the upper control arm/ball joint.
