What are the largest (diameter wise) tires I can get on a stock suspension (33,34 etc?). Also, with a 2" leveling kit what are the largest I can get? I am looking at Toyo Mt's. No rubbing on either question also. I have an stx 4x4 08

 

I too have also asked questions such as this after buying my stx. Stock suspension with no leveling kit i'd have to say 33's. 34's may be possible with no modding, but don't quote me on it.

With a 2" level kit i think you could run 34's cause of that bit of extra clearance when making turns at full wheel lock. Anything bigger and i'd think some sort of suspension lift would be necessary.

At some point i am looking to put 36's on my stx and i believe at minimum a 4" suspension and 2" level kit would be needed to achieve that kind of clearance and fitment. I may even go with a 6" just for some guaranteed extra room.

Just to reassure yourself though i would check with your local professional tire center and have them give you the answer you are looking for. That's what they do so day in and day out so i'm sure they would know best.

 

I would go with a 33 inch stock height, a 285x70x17 or a 285x65x18 depending on your wheel diameter. Leveled out you can go with a 34 or 35 inch tire. These sizes will fit on a stock wheel. 35's usually present some rubbing issues so be aware!

 

RIght. A 35x12.50 will fit using the OEM wheels on a leveled 4x4 but they will rub the control arms at full steering lock.
