Aftermarket 16" wheels for 03 4x4 supercrew

Question, my daughter has a 2003 f-150 supercrew f-150 larait 4x4 with 18" wheels (unknow as to brand or size)with street tires, I have a brand new set of Toyo Open Country A/T's 285/75/16 I want to mount. She wants new rims anyway and I would like to use these tires so I don't mind getting her some 16" rims but have no ideal what width or backspace/offset to get, i know they are 5x135mm pattern, and she has no lift right now but plan to get a leveling kit on it later on. Can someone give me some input as to proper width and offset/backspace that i should get. Thanks.

Where do you want the tires? Want them tucked like the factory ones, or do you want them outside the wheel well a little? If you are not picky on the wheel type you might could find some OEM wheels for cheap.

Not real picky, thought I would get her some aftermarket wheels for it for Christmas and put the new Toyo's on it for her. After all she is only 16 and I am footing the bills...lol. I just want it to look good and be the right fit the first time. The truck has performance street tires on a 4x4 right now because that is how we bought it, and she likes to play in the mud.

here are my M/T's ,they are not a custom offset, I just cranked up the front t bars and cut some of the plastic air dam.

Personally, I'd go with a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. You will have to trim a little plastic off the front bumper's lower valance for clearance with this setup. I have pics in my gallary if you want to see what this size combo will look like.

I think the size will look good on it. The guys at local tire shop tried to feed me a line of bull about 16" rims won't work on a 2003 4x4 which i feel is crap, I think they just want to sell the higher priced rims and not order the ones she wanted.

My 2003 4x2 came with 16" wheels standard. It was an XLT SuperCrew. I bought it new in 2003 and the 4x4 models had the same wheels on them. Sounds like someone gets a commission and wants more money.
