All you need to know is freightcenter.com, and don't use the site.. just call them directly. You will get it shipped much easier (they fill everything out) and I have always gotten a better price by calling... You can select the carrier too since they do business with all of them. I used yellow freight if I remember right.

just to give you an example when I sold my stock wheels/tires I shipped them from Texas to upstate New York for 200 bucks and they got there in 3 days. I had no issues what so ever... since then I have shipped plenty with them.

Get a pallet, stack them up, shrink wrap them, secure them to the pallet (i.e. banding, huge zip ties, etc..) and your good to go.

Why not call a local tire shop to see if they have any old rim boxes they don't need and put your wheels in them instead?

Over the years I've shipped hundreds of rims and wheels ( rims+tires ) via UPS without any issues and/or problems.

Rather than taking 'em to a UPS store, I always use Office Depot as the drop-off point and do my own packaging.

rims - boxes and packing material.

wheels - bubble-wrap on the rim face and wrap the entire wheel in clear plastic wrap.

Or ... On a few occasions I've let Office Depot to the packaging. The co$t was VERY reasonable.

TIP: Use the on-line UPS calculate-time-and-cost facility to get a realistic price ... -HERE-.

I concur with gDMJoe. No problems using FedEx. Rims seperately go in a box w/ bubble wrap. Tires seperately only need a tire tag (FedEx provides). Mounted rims/tires get cardboard to cover the outside of the rim from damage and then wrapped up w/ plastic/shrink wrap. Price is the only killer - depending on size/weight. Good luck!
