2004 FX4 - Tire Size

Hey folks - need some thought on tire size.
I have the 2004 F-150 Fx4 Flareside with 18's, with the 3" leveling kit, and I'm wondering just how BIG I can go on tires without alot of rubbing.

Thanks in advance.

295/70/18 or maybe 35x12.50 depending on actual height of the tire.

In Nitto, the terra and trail grapps do fine with factory wheels, but rub a little with wider, offset aftermarket wheels. I don't think I could fit 35x12.50 trails on my factory wheels without some minor rubbing, as they are almost an inch taller than my 295's.

Bottom line is probably a 33-34" tire works best.

FX4INPROGRESS - thanks for the shots... I'm probably going with the Nitto TGrapplers. I was originally looking at 285/65/18's - so unless there is a difference, between the 2004 & 2007s, I might be bumping that up to your specs! I've got the same rims.

35x12.5 max, 295x70 or a 305x65 would look great also. All terrains will give more clearance then the same size in a mud tire version.

The pictures really don't do it justice. When I pulled up to have the tires put on I began second guessing if they would fit. It changes the look/stance so much. I'm very happy with this setup.

Check out my gallery as I have a 2" leveling kit with the 295/70/18 nitto trails. I get a slight rub when making a hard left. I love my tires so far and get a lot of compliments on them

I agree. 35x12.50's will fit with minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock
