Bigger wheels = loss of power?

So i recently put on new tires yes bigger, 275/65/R18 to be exact and have felt a lose of power and a loss of gas mileage. I bet this is normal though so what my question is how would i regain some of this power and increase my mpg?

I have read about re-gearing the truck or buying a tuner. I kind of know what involved in a tuner and have been looking at edge or the sup"d edge (gryphon), but some people have said re-gearing or dynotuning, but idk anything thats invovled in that or even how much that coast.

Any help would be appreciated.

Allot depends on what size of motor you have. Re-gearing is very costly and with that size of tire not needed. I would start with a tuner, air induction and exhaust.

Well, you should definetly get your speedo recalibrated to match your tire size first if you havent already. Untill you do this you wont be able to monitor your fuel mileage acurately and your trannys shift points will be off.

Try the tuner and Gotts mod first. My guess is that you will be happy with that. If you go with the edge or gryphon you can correct the tire size in the computer and find out the correct mileage you are getting.
