Have bias ply tires improved in the last 25 years?

Yea, they are called radials.

You can't hardly even find Bias ply. Some trailer tires, small ATV like vehicles may have them.

Why?

im sure they've improved a bit but milage still isn't great with them. tons of companies make bias tires but they are mostly mud tires.

Bias ply! Everyone from Saskatchewan knows to use radials! Or are you a Manitoban or Albertan in disguise? If you did find some they would be horribly expensive and old stock.

I just thought 31x12.5-15 TSL Thornbirds would be sweet! Does anyone make a 31x12.5(or wider) in radial?!?

The Super Swamper Thornbird is one of the worst tires ever made. They look cool but perform horribly on and off road. I would only consider putting them on a show truck.
BFG used to make the AT KO in a 325/60-15 size which was basically a 31x13.00-15 tire.

Seriously, yes bias ply tires still exist, interco makes a bunch, pitbull makes 3 different ones.

Tsls, boggers, ltb, iroks, ground hawgs, competition baja claws, krawlers, rockers, maddogs, growlers, are all dot approved bias ply tires. And there's more out there
