Black wheels on 09 2-tone Blue flame? anyone have pics???

Hey guys, I have been rocken my KMC Hoss 20x9 for the last year and love them, but thinking about ditching the chrome and going black. I am just getting tired of the upkeep on the chrome rims. I hate driving around with them dirty and thinking black might be the way to go.

My problem is that I am just not sure if black rims on a 2-tone Blue Flame/ charcoal will look. Anyone have any pics?

This is how she looks with the chromes on... which is very nice too!!!!

i think black would look sweet! but, if you're going all black rims i would think you'll have to make some more changes IMO, black heads/tails, powder coat the running boards, etc. but i spose if you have an extra $3000 sitting around and am sick of dealing with the chrome...why not?

I don't know about all black on that color combo. I like your Hoss wheels, but how about a "black chrome" or whatever they call it? That might look sweet and could go with the DSG bottom paint . Maybe its just me, but I think all black wheels with that color combo would just look a little forced. In any event, good luck.

Oh me too...

Thanks for the responses so far guys. I almost bough a set of black rims earlier in the spring, but did not know how they would look, so decided not to.

The other concern that I have is the winter. I got rid of my stock rims and want something I can run all year round. Chrome, that is just not the case.

I don't think black wheels would work well on your truck.

I like the look you have now but if you want to cut back on the chrome I would have your wheels powder coated to match the charcoal grey on your truck but keep the center caps and lug nuts chrome. That would look good IMO.

Which black wheels are you looking at? I can photoshop them onto your truck if you know. Or powdercoat your existing to match the DSG.

Oooooo, I like the idea of the DSG powder coat. That looks good mxracer. I think that takes care of your problems at a fraction of the price. Powder coat those bars and you're done.

I like it but I think I would still keep the center caps and lugs chrome just to make the wheels pop a little more.

MX, I like how you made them black, truck looks good either way. Can you also do a black lip /machined face? The Hoss come that way also, I'd like to see how thay look on that color.
