Backspace dilemma

Backspace dilemma
I have an 06 Supercrew 4x4 with a 4" Rancho lift. It currently has 33x12.50 tires and I am going to upgrade to new 20" wheels and 35x12.50 tires. The wheels I am considering come either with 5.0" or 5.79" backspacing. I am sure the 5.79" will work fine with no rubbing, but not sure about the 5.0". Any feedback from personal experience would be appreciated.

many people running 35x12.50 on factory 20s with the 4 inch rancho and factory 20s are about 6" backspacing. The rancho kit was desighned to be able to use factory wheels. So with 5.79 you will definatly be OK.
i think wandell was asking how wide the rims are, not the tires.

This same question was asked less than a week ago. But...
You need to answer Wandell's question above first: How wide are your 20's? You need to remember that backspace is relative to rim width (ie. 5.79" of backspace on a 8" wide rim means something different if the same backspace is on a 10" rim).
